In the midst of awful confusion,
When we are anxious and disillusioned,
And feel lost and afraid of exclusion,
You, Jesus Christ, are the Solution!

You’re with us in those fretful moments,
To overpower and defeat our opponents,
Cause You paid the price of atonement,
And in your Kingdom, we have enrollment!

You work to subdue crippling fear,
And you lovingly wipe away our tears,
And make our thoughts crystal clear:
That your Presence is always here!

You open the boarded-up gate,
So we are free to participate,
In your glory, as we lean to wait,
And watch You empower our faith!

Is what we thank You for,

Are the mighty open door!
