Breaking the Chains

Picture
This painting by Christine Cole depicts the freedom from sin and bondage that Christ gives us when we receive Him as our Lord and Savior. It was done for a show by ex-cult members, and it depicts Christine’s journey of being in a cult and then getting set free from it (She was actually kidnapped by her two best friends and deprogrammed). It is a very powerful visual for people who have experienced bondage in their lives, and many people have been very moved by painting.

“He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.” – Psalm 107:14 NIV

A large print of Christine’s painting is part of the Healing Gallery Traveling Art Exhibit that travels to churches and art galleries in Illinois and Indiana.

More of Christine Cole's art is on her Facebook page.

The image of Christine’s painting was used with her permission. Christine owns the copyright to her art and to her words.
