Standing your Ground

All I want to do is sleep,
But water runs from my eyes that weep.
I’m angry, fearful and upset,
And my fluffy pillow is getting wet!

“Do not focus on what went wrong,
Turn to Christ; I’ll make you strong,
As you bring My Kingdom into your sight,
I’ll enable you to grow what is right.

“There are many things you cannot see,
That’s why you need to trust in Me.
Everything good that you need for life,
I offer you, as you let go of strife.

“I’ll place your feet on level ground,
So in all good things you can abound,
And teach you when opposition comes,
How to stand your ground, and make it run.

“You are My child; and to Me you’re dear,
I rejoice each time, that to Me you draw near.
I’ll establish you in Kingdom ways,
That cause your heart to dance and praise.”
