Sometimes life is a real mess
And it feels like an impossible game of chess
But You, Lord God, know how to win
And You give us guidance on where to begin.

You encourage us to see the bigger picture
That stands on your promises written in Scripture,
And look much higher than the problems we face
Cause we’re seated with You in a heavenly place.

You teach us to rule in our very domain
With the gifts You’ve given us to obtain,
The necessary tools that expand our terrain
So that all our efforts will not be in vain.

You teach us strategies to overcome,
You enlighten our minds so we can run 
The race You placed before our feet
With a plan of action that’s solid and concrete!

The greatness of your life-giving Word,

But You carefully replant us in the soil of truth.
So in loving-kindness, we can grow deep roots.

O Wonderful God, who cares so deeply,
You execute plans that bless us so neatly,
To strengthen our frame and heal our thoughts,
So in our walk of faith, we are never lost.

You pour out your favor again and again.
You shield and protect like a loving mother hen,
You shape us beautifully as you refine our ways.
We lift up our voices, to give you great praise!
