The background in Carmen’s art portrays a flat field of green grass with a small mound rising up. The mound is about the height and size of a pitcher’s mound and also green in color. The green-gold material she uses is regal in nature, showing richness, and representing kingdom work. Inside the mound are seeds and beauty that needs to come into the world – beauty that will bear fruit. The beauty and seeds are starting to emerge. The shear pink fabric is the way the seeds and beauty are coming forth – with the love of God and the power of His Holy Spirit. The red fragmented pieces in the upper right corner represent the dissipation of pain and wounding. God uses the suffering that has happened to us and turns it into something good. He brings it back into the picture and redeems it.
